Stand-alone Machines
Stand-alone machines are designed to operate independently, without connection to another machine or process in order to run. These consist of multiple heads that can be utilised to complete an entire assembly or testing process in a single machine. Usually only one operator is required, however they could be fully automated depending on the complexity of the process.
Single Head Machine
These stations incorporate interchangeable fixtures that utilise a common interface for electrical/pneumatic connections. This allows for easy changeover of product types and cost effective upgrade options.
Typical Applications
Assisted Assembly
Automated Assembly
Leak Testing
Glue and Sealant Dispensing
Thermal Gel Dispensing
Plasma Cleaning
Tooling Options
X,Y,Z Servo
Robot
Customised Assembly Tooling
Multi Head Rotary Machine
These machines use a rotary table to transfer the product from the front operator loading side to the rear assembly and test side, with operations being able to be carried out in both locations. The advantage of this setup is the reduced impact of product load/unload on overall cycle time as this occurs in parallel with the test/assembly process.
Typical applications consist of automatic assembly; glue/sealant/thermal paste dispensing; automatic screwdriver; vision inspection, and product testing.
Typical Applications
Automated Assembly
Plasma Cleaning
Laser Marking / Welding / Cutting
Automated Screwing Stations
Vision Inspection
Electrical Safety and Flash Testing
Tooling Options
Customised Assembly Tooling
Screening (Operator curtain for manual vision inspection)
X,Y,Z Servo
Multi Head Shuttle Machines
These machines use a shuttle to move the product from the front load/unload position to the test/assembly position at the rear. The advantage of this setup is that the product can be stopped at various positions along the shuttle to allow for different assembly, test and inspection procedures to take place. Multiple shuttles can be incorporated to reduce effect of load/unload on cycle times.
Typical Applications
- Automated Press Assembly
- Height/Displacement Checking
- Automated Screwing Stations
- Vision Inspection
